Zaujal mě na webu film o filmových archívech s Jonasem Mekasem v hlavní roli a trochu sem se podivil, jestli zrovna takováhle kombinace je tím pravým holandským receptem pro evropský film, aby zabodoval na nejvyšších příčkách návštěvnosti kin. Mekas je jistě superstar experimentálního filmu, takže určitou logiku to má. Navíc to má být dokument, ovšem kde sám Mekas tvrdí, že nemá rád dokumenty. Dobré, meta-žánr aspirující na slušnou hovadinu.

We are in the film Metropolis; we are in an engine room. It's a symbolic room for this film, a famous decoration. It's also a symbol for what we're doing now. We are taking a look into the restoration of a film; we are looking in an engine room to which normally the audience has no access to.
